Evil Leaders Over Countries Prov. 28: 3-6 CLICK TITLE FOR AUDIO

This lesson is about evil leaders over countries.  When wicked men take charge of a country you will see the following four things:

The Oppression of the Poor – Prov 28:3 – A ruler who was poor that comes to power will sweep through his country like a hail storm.  The poor and needy were neglected in Sodom and Gomorrah according to Ezek 16:49 – millions have been executed in their own countries by their own countrymen under the orders of wicked rulers like Fidel Castro, Joseph Stalin, Idi Amin, Pol Pot, etc.

The Praise of the Wicked – Prov 28:4 – Television ads during sports events glamorize booze and women – they that forsake the law praise the wicked – the reason that the USA has slipped into immorality the way it has is that wickedness has been legalized and promoted – legalized homosexuality resulted in gay pride parades, same-sex marriages and legal unions – gambling and liquor were illegal and now they are legal – these things praise the wicked not the Lord – we are to contend with this wickedness just like John the Baptist did to Herod and Paul did to Felix.

The Misapplication of Judgment – Prov 28:5 – They say how can a righteous, holy, loving God throw me into hell – judgment is flipped – right is wrong (prayer and Bible) and wrong is right (sex education and evolution) – it’s ok to kill babies but it’s not ok to spank children according to the ACLU (they are opposed to all forms of corporal punishment) – but Ecc 8:11 says, “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil” – compare the Ten Commandments with how we live today and you will see evil men don’t understand judgment – they are living by what is right in their own eyes.

The Justification of Wealth – Prov 28:6 – It is better to be poor and upright than to be rich and perverse – people believe that as long as they can make money they don’t need to concern themselves with their lack of uprightness – so killing people with tobacco is ok – robbing them with gambling is ok – ruining them with booze is ok because all these make a lot of money for the those who sell them and for the government that licenses them.
