What destroys the antichrist?  The antichrist comes crashing down because of a number of things that are written in this portion of the prophecy:

These things are:

Wine [Hab 2:5] – Prov 20:1; Dan 5

Pride [Hab 2:5] – Exaltation [Hab 2:5] – gathers all nations and people to himself [Hab 2:9b] – Is 14:13-14; 2 Thes 2; Dan 11:36-39

Insatiable Desire [Hab 2:5] Covetousness [Hab 2:9] – Eze 28:4-5; what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul

Vanity [Hab 2:6, 13] – the people are working in the brick kilns to fortify the cities [and strongholds like the Jews did for Pharaoh] – they have taken and they are preparing themselves for safety not realizing that it is for utter disaster instead – Ps 33:16-17

Blood [Hab 2:8, 12a] – Ps 79:1-3; Rev 6:10; Rev 17:6

Violence [Hab 2:8, 10] Eze 28:16

Revenge [Hab 2:7-8] – the nations that were spoiled spoil him Eze 28:7-8

Deceit [Hab 2:10-11] – if these walls could talk – and they do – stuff he was planning in secret comes back to bite him – Rev 12:9; 20:3; 20:8

Iniquity [Hab 2:12b] – Eze 28:15

The Second Advent [Hab 2:14] – Jesus comes back and destroys him with the brightness of his coming 2 Thes 2:8 – “this world is not big enough for the both of us”
