There are two things that you can’t go wrong sowing bountifully.  You ought to sow bountifully the word of God and money.  God gives us all sufficiency in all things and he gives us grace to abound to every good work so that we may sow bountifully.  And when you sow bountifully, do so cheerfully because God loveth a cheerful giver.

Sow the word of God bountifully – always take tracts with you wherever you go and give them out cheerfully.  Take some New Testaments with you.  When you find someone really interested in the things of the Lord, give them a marked New Testament.  Show them how it is laid out for them to use.  And witness to people on purpose.  In other words, purpose in your heart to give the gospel to someone you meet or someone you know.  Pray for these opportunities to come up in your day.

Sow money bountifully – purpose in your heart that you are going to give to missions.  I cannot emphasize enough the spiritual benefit and joy that comes from giving to missions.  We all like to give large offerings from the church to those in need on the mission field.  It is especially enjoyable to do so when you are one of those who has given toward the gifts that go to them on the field.  On a weekly basis or on a monthly basis, whichever is best, make a regular offering for missions that is above what you are giving now.  Be sure that you are tithing and then cheerfully give an additional amount to missions.  Put aside any questions that inhibit you from giving and just do it.  You will see what I am talking about for yourself once you are giving regularly.

Conclusion: sowing bountifully is good work.  In doing so, you will find God’s sufficiency in all things here and you will find a bountiful harvest when you reap hereafter.
