Abundant Wisdom Eph. 1:7-8 CLICK TITLE FOR AUDIO

With the abundant life that we have in Jesus Christ [Jn 10:10] we are given abundant wisdom.  God’s abundant wisdom can be found in the following people and places:

Wisdom is in the Lord – Eph 1:7-8, Col 2:2-3 – he has it all.  Look at Prov 21:30 there is no wisdom against the Lord.  See 1 Cor 1:19-20, God destroys the wisdom of the wise.  So, if you want wisdom ask God [Jas 1:5-8].  But if you ask him, you better follow what he shows you or he will cut you off and you will be unstable.

Wisdom is in the Bible – Prov 8:1-11 – wisdom cries with right and plain words to the simple and the fools.  God reveals his wisdom to babes [Lk 10:21]; not to the wise and prudent.  They already think they know it all.  Prov 8:34-36 tells us to get our wisdom daily.  You will find life and favour of the Lord.  But if you sin against his wisdom you will wrong your own soul.

Wisdom is in wise counselors – Prov 11:14, Prov 12:15, Prov 20:18 – you are a fool to proceed into a way without first obtaining wise counsel.  When you ignore wise counsel, or reject wise counsel, so that you can do what you want to do, your decision is going to cost you.  You always come out better, in the long run, by receiving and following wise counsel.

Conclusion: we don’t get just a little bit of wisdom when we come to the Lord, the Bible and wise counselors, we get abundant wisdom.  Abundant wisdom is part of your abundant life in Christ.
