God’s Order

Our God is a God of perfect order, timing, and balance.  Therefore, it is vital that we yield to his orders according to the scriptures, that we yield to his ordering of our steps, that we yield to his timing and that we maintain a proper balance in our lives.  Our God is a God of:

Order

There is a natural order and there are orders of authority.  In 1 Cor 14:40 we find God’s orders for tongues.  In 1 Chr 15:13 David had to be sure that the ark was carried after the due order.  Contrast this with 1 Chr 13:5-12.  In Is 9:7 Christ will order his government.  In Is 44:7 no one can set things in order like God.  Therefore, we must pray that the Lord orders our steps [Ps 37:23], in his words [Ps 119:133].

Timing

Rev 9:15 is timed right down to the hour.  In Acts 1:6-7 we see that the Father has times and seasons which include the time of the restoration of the kingdom of Israel.  The timing of the Messiah was fixed [Dan 9:25-27], leaving one week still for the seven-year Tribulation.  The death of Christ was timed precisely to coincided with the time that the priest killed the passover lamb.  Ecc 3:1-8 shows us that there is a time and a season for everything. Therefore, we don’t want to be ahead of or behind the time of the Lord.  People are impatient.  We must wait on God.  Be particularly careful about marriage, the ministry and debt.

Balance

Lev 19:35-36 God commanded just balances [Prov 16:11, they are the Lord’s].  In Prov 11:1 A false balance is abomination to the Lord.  We must maintain a proper balance in our lives between the spiritual and natural man.

Conclusion

It is essential that we follow God’s orders for our steps according to his perfect timing, while maintaining a proper balance in our lives.  When we get out of order we mess up.  If we get ahead of God’s timing we mess up.  When we lose our balance we mess up.  If you see that something in your life is out of order, out of timing or out of balance, then get the thing straightened up so that it won’t mess you up further.
