Your Ministry of Reconciliation

Your Ministry of Reconciliation
2 Cor.5:17-21

God has reconciled us unto himself by Jesus Christ. You probably learned that you were a sinner and that sinners go to hell, so you got saved so you wouldn’t go to hell. Reconciliation is more than just a ticket out of hell. It is really an amazing thing that God has done for every soul on this earth, and He has given us a ministry to inform others. We probably should learn as much as possible about it.

To reconcile is to call back into union, or agreement after estrangement.

The Problem (God has been offended by us)
[Rom.5:12] all have sinned
[Isa. 59:2] sins have separated us
[Eph.2:12] having no hope, and without God in the world
[Jn.3:36] the wrath of God abides on us now

The Propitiation (appeasing the wrath of an offended party)
[Rom.3:25] the blood of Jesus Christ and his righteousness
[Col.1:19-22] made peace, so that we can be holy, unblameable, and unreproveable in his sight
[1 Jn.2:2] not us only, but for the sins of the whole world
[1 Jn. 4:10] Being the offended party, He made the first move!

The Amazing thing is that God, being the offended party, desires for us to be reconciled to him, and has paid all the cost, and willingly offers reconciliation for free by faith! For the ungodly, sinners, and enemies, [Rom.5:6-11] [Eph.2:11-22] Because he made peace, we have access to the Father, because we are now sons! We are reconciled and don’t just go our separate ways, we are now fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God. This reconciliation has just changed your present life! [2 Cor.5:17-18] It is way more than just a way out of hell, it is a way of life!

If reconciliation is an unbelievable deal, why aren’t people standing in line to receive it?
They have been misled by religion or education.
They have no knowledge of the Bible.
Pride.
Too easy.
Love their sin.
Don’t let any excuse of theirs hamper you.
Do you know enough about this transaction to tell others? God has done all of this for you, don’t you want your loved ones to at least know that all of this is offered to them by God! God has given you the ministry of reconciliation, always be ready to tell others, [1 Pet.3:15]
