How Does God Reveal His Will? (part 2)

How Does God Reveal His Will?

Eph.5:17

Part Two

The Testimony of the Holy Spirit

[Ephesians 1:13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,”

At the moment that you believed you received the Holy Spirit. He dwells in you, [1Cor.6:19-20]. Because of many years and many ways that the Holy Spirit has been misrepresented and even glorified and worshiped above our Lord Jesus Christ, We tend to be very careful about that “Holy Spirit thing”.

[1 John 5:7] For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

My Bible says that the Holy Spirit is God, and not some lesser being. If you believe your Bible, You must start to believe and understand what a POWER [Rom.8:11] you have in you and for you!

[John 16:13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”

You have the testimony of the Holy Spirit living in you. He has a purpose, to guide you into all truth, and shew you things to come. Is there any better source of truth? [Rom.8:14] Are you led by the Spirit of God? [Gal.5:25] Do you live in the Spirit and walk in the Spirit? Hint: the other choice is to WALK, AND LIVE IN THE FLESH.

The Holy Spirit will Testify with Conviction and/or Comfort

Conviction

[John 16:8-11] The Holy Spirit not only convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment, but also gives that uneasy feeling about a bad decision we are about to make. Look for that inner conviction in every matter. The only way to have peace with a decision you are making is to be free of the conviction of the Holy Spirit.

Comfort

[Jn.14:16] Given to us to abide with us forever, that alone should be a great comfort

[Jn.14:26] He shall teach you all things. There is nothing about God’s will that you don’t have access to.

[Jn.15:26] He is the Spirit of Truth which proceeds from the Father. When you finally submit to this truth, you should seek out every possible way to access this testimony.

Communion or Fellowship with the Holy Spirit is something that is vital to clearly receiving His Testimony, [2Cor.13:14] [Phil.2:1]

[Ephesians 4:30] And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”

Be very careful to make sure that your own desires and emotions don’t override or distort the Testimony of the Spirit of God.
