Last Wednesday night we saw from Ps 148, that everything in the universe is governed by the words of God. Likewise, you should allow the words of God to govern all areas of your life. All of your paths, your convictions, your responsibilities, your privileges, your instructions, and your duties for your life are found in word of God. The Bible defines the paths. Like Pas 199:168 says, “all my ways are before thee.”
But reading, believing and obeying the words of God are not just duties and responsibilities of the believer. There are substantial spiritual benefits derived from the words of God. They become a pleasure to read and follow.
Once you are regularly in the words of God, then you find and love the wisdom of the words of God [Prov 22:17-18, Prov 2:10], the light of the words of God [Ps 119:130], the satisfaction of the words of God [Ps 107:8-12], the joy of the words of God [Ps 119:162], the peace of the words of God [Ps 119:165], and the fellowship with God in the words of God [1 Jn 1:1-4].
Reading, believing and obeying the words of God are your joy and gladness.
