Conference Information
Bible Believers Baptist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas is the venue for the Preachers Conference this year. We are looking forward to hosting you and your wife, July 25-27, 2023. We have provided some information on this page that we hope will help you decide to join us for the Conference.
Registration
When you are ready to register, please fill out and submit the Registration Form below. Please register now, as early registration will help us make adequate preparations for the Conference.
Theme
The theme for the Conference is “Pastoral Oversight: Watchful and Responsible Care”. During the morning sessions, our guest preachers are going to speak on various aspects of this subject that can help all of our like-minded pastors and preachers in the ministry. Likewise, we have some excellent morning sessions planned for our ladies, as well.
Participants
The Conference this year will be for men and their wives only. Not only are our guest preachers preparing sessions to help us with our watchful and responsible care of the flocks that we pastor, but some of them and their wives are preparing sessions to help the ladies with the unique pressures, stresses, and complications that arise from being married to a pastor or preacher and ministering in the church. Please be advised that we are not providing children’s activities or nurseries for the participants.
Conference Speakers
Pastor Roger Hoots, Pastor Rick DeMichele, Pastor Harley Keck, Pastor Jonathan Marshall, Pastor Jason Murphy, Pastor Daniel Haveman, and Pastor Erick Knight. Host Pastor Bevans Welder.
Day Sessions
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, beginning at 9:00 am, we will have 3 sessions each morning, with plenty of break time between sessions. After the sessions, we will serve lunch.
Fellowship Outing
Thursday morning and afternoon, we have an outing planned for the ladies which should be refreshing and provide a great time of fellowship. The current plan is to travel to a near-by Texas ranch where we will also serve lunch. We’ll provide more details in the near future.
Evening Preaching
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, at 6:00 pm, we will hear from two preachers each night. There will be plenty of time afterwards for you to dine in our local restaurants. We will provide a list of recommended restaurants where you may want to enjoy some good food and fellowship. On Thursday evening we’ll provide a meal and refreshments after the service in the Fellowship Hall.
Dress
We’re recommending that you not wear a suit and tie in the daytime sessions. South Texas is hot in the summer and you’ll be much more comfortable without a coat and tie. Your wives will want to dress comfortably, as well. Also, ladies who choose to join Mrs. Anne Welder for a Thursday outing to a near-by ranch for a relaxing day of fellowship will want to bring casual clothes for the day.

The main conference hotel is the Best Western Plus Executive Residency, 3533 McKinzie Rd, 361-241-2000. Mention that you are attending the Gulf Coast Preachers Conference.

Air Travel
Corpus Christi International Airport is served by three airlines: Southwest, United, and American Airlines. We are approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes from San Antonio, if you prefer to fly there, rent a car, and drive to Corpus Christi.
Local Transportation
You can rent a car at the airport. If you’ll need a ride from the airport in Corpus Christi, instead, then please let us know your airline and time of arrival.
