Tomorrow
There are three things that come to mind about tomorrow.
Boast not – Prov 27:1. For thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. Boasting about tomorrow is a statement of pride. The circumstances that appear to be in your favor today may be substantially against you tomorrow. In 1 Ki 19:2 Jezebel was certain that Elijah would be killed tomorrow. Instead, Elijah was carried up to heaven in a whirlwind and Jezebel was trampled to death by Jehu and eaten by dogs. In 1 Ki 20:6 Benhadad sent a message to Ahab that tomorrow his servants would take away everything that was pleasant to Ahab. Instead, Ahab led his greatly outnumbered army against Benhadad and the Syrians and defeated them twice.
Think not – Matt 6:34. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. You have enough on your plate for one day. If you load up your mind on tomorrow, you will also load up your stress. Instead, you need to always seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness. The kingdom of God won’t even cross your mind if you are sweating the future. It seems to be the design of the the world and the devil to consume your thoughts with this world. And if today is not stressful enough, they’ll draw your thoughts to tomorrow.
Know not – Jas 4:14. 4:15 for that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that. To say and believe “Lord willing” is putting the day and your plans in the Lord’s hands so that he can arrange the schedule according to his will and not yours. You could be out of here in the rapture before midnight tonight.
Conclusion: By following these three simple instructions from the Bible, you leave room in your daily schedule for the Lord to work out your life how he sees best. You will be astounded at how much better he can direct your life than you can.
