The old man is that natural man whose genealogy can be traced back to Adam and he has a walk that is common to all other natural men.  Here is the description concerning his:

  1. Mind – Worthless

    2. Vain
    3. Comes up with great stuff but winds up in hell
  2. Understanding – Unenlightened
    1. Darkened, no light
    2. He can shed some light on the subject
    3. Rom 1:21-22
    4. Jn 3:19
    5. Jn 8:12
  3. Relationship to God – Alienated
    1. Jn 14:6
    2. Is 59:2
    3. Col 1:21-22
    4. At an FCA meeting, I learned that I was alienated from God, though I was religious
    5. Actually think they are God’s because they go to church
  4. Knowledge of God – Ignorant
    1. Acts 3:14-17
    2. II Thes 1:8
    3. Acts 17:23, they worshipped the Unknown God
  5. Hearts – Blind
    1. They don’t see that they have NO affection for God whatsoever

  6. Feelings – Jaded
    1. Past feeling

    3. Jas 3:15
    4. Sensual
    5. Can’t feel it so they do more perversion
  7. Relations to Men – Perverted
    1. Lasciviousness

  8. Works – Filthy
    1. Uncleanness

    4. Filthy mouth, jokes, dress, look
  9. Motives – Greedy
    1. Prov 21:25-26

  10. End – Corruption (v. 22)
    1. Corrupt

According to deceitful lusts – knows only what it wants and fouls up these 10 things.
