Presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice to Jesus is absolutely our reasonable service. His exhortation to do this is not extreme. It’s fair; it stands to reason.
Sacrifices in the Old Testament were without blemish. Jesus was sinless when he was sacrificed for us. So, we are to be holy and acceptable to God as a sacrifice that meets his standard of approval. After all this is for God.

The Fact That We Are God’s Creation. You owe God your very breath and life. You wouldn’t be alive today if it weren’t for the mercies of God. He has been so good to you even before you were even saved.
The Price He Paid For Us. Jesus’s sacrifice he made for us was greater than all sacrifices put together. It pleased God to bruise him. God was satisfied. We don’t have to go through a sacrifice like that. You wouldn’t be saved today if it weren’t for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
The Benefits We Derive. Our minds are renewed. Mine needed a lot of renewing; it still does. God has a good, and acceptable, and perfect will for us. Imagine that God had/has a plan for you. We have a purpose. When you present yourself to him, then he can fulfill his will in you. Plus, he provides us with daily guidance as we serve him. We know what to do, we have the grace of God to do it, and we enjoy the satisfaction of a completed job for the Lord.
The Eternal Value Of Our Sacrifice. God gives us a reward for the things we do for him, Col 3:23-25. And when you witness, you will see souls in heaven who were saved because you published the gospel. You will hear God say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant”. He wants us to have life more abundantly, which he accomplishes when we present our bodies a living sacrifice.
Conclusion: Presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice to God is, in fact, our reasonable service. He created us, he bought us, and he provides us with exceptional benefits and eternal rewards.
