Always “God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord” 1 Cor 1:9.
No matter where God found you in sin, he called you unto the fellowship of his dear Son. Not only did he save us from our sins, but he desires for us to have fellowship with him. Likewise, he wants us to desire to have fellowship with him. See what John the apostle wrote in 1 Jn 1:3.
We should be in fellowship with him and with each other. God wants nothing to break this fellowship and wants us to enjoy his fellowship everyday, all day long. Always God is faithful. You can count on him. He is always there for us.
But there are things that cause our fellowship with him to be strained. There are things that grieve him. Nevertheless, God is faithful and he is there for us:
When we’re tempted, 1 Cor 10:13.
Always God is faithful to provide the way to escape in temptation through his grace, power, word (shield and sword), and Holy Spirit. Jesus was tempted; so he understands. We must trust him. He is faithful.
When we sin, 1 Jn 1:9.
Sin affects our fellowship with him, 1 Jn 1:7. Yet he is the propitiation. Therefore the Blood of Jesus cleanses us. By his shed blood we are restored to fellowship. Confess your sins to him. Always God is faithful to forgive our sins.
When we fail, Lam 3:22-23.
“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not”. We fail but his compassions don’t. They are new every morning. You cannot exhaust God’s mercy. “Great is thy faithfulness”.
Conclusion: Continual, unbroken, sweet fellowship is God’s calling. And always God is faithful to continue to desire our fellowship even through temptations, sin, and failure. And he has provided the means whereby we may have his fellowship.
