According to this text there are great things that come from knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. The more obvious things we think of are being saved by His shed blood and being justified from our sins so that we’re not found guilty before the throne of God. But in this text there are four specific things that Jesus tells Phillip that come from knowing God the Father.

If you know Jesus then you will:

Know God the Father because Jesus Christ is God  (John 14:9, 12:45, 10:30, Heb. 1:3, Col. 1:15, Gen. 1:26, 1 Tim. 3:16)

Know God’s words (John 14:10, 1:1, 1:14, 1 John 5:7, Rev. 19:13, John 12:49, 16:13)

Know God’s works and do them (John 14:12, Matt. 7:21, Titus 1:16, 2 Tim. 3:5, Titus 2:14,3:14)

Have God’s ear (John 7:13-14, 15:7, 15:16, 16:23-24, 1 John 5:14-15, Mark 11:24)
