Bearing Precious Seed
In Ps 126, Israel went into captivity weeping. Their children were their precious seed. And the promise was that they would return with rejoicing, bringing their offspring (sheaves) with them. See Jer 29:1-1o.
Seed in the Bible represents the word of God, Lk 8:5, 11; children, Dan 1:3; and money, 2 Cor 9:6-7. The seed needs to be scattered in order to increase, Acts 8:1, 4, Prov 11:24.
Regardless of the circumstances and the economy, be sure to “scatter” the word of God, money to further the gospel, and saints to the mission field, even if they are your children and their ‘departure’ to the field causes you to weep. We will rejoice when all of this seed bears fruit.
