Who Dwells With the Lord. Ps 84:4 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house… Ps 27:4, Jn 17:22-24, Eph 2:6. A man who dwells with the Lord is a residing man. We are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. The blessing comes when we:
Dwell in the Lord’s house
Ps 84:4 we can dwell with the Lord in his house because of our resurrected life. When we dwell with him we are not as easily allured by, distracted by, or entangled by the things that are down here. You’re dwelling and affection are above. Much harder to get rooted in down here when you are a residing man up there.
Behold the beauty of the Lord
Ps 27:4 You see his beauty without seeing him physically. You’re not looking for his physical features. When he was here he had no comeliness that we should desire him. We look at the beauty of his unseen qualities. I couldn’t see the beauty of the Lord’s unseen qualities when I began to read the Bible because of my dependence on the visual. In Ex 34, God showed himself to Moses as merciful, gracious, long-suffering, abundant in goodness and truth. These are beautiful.
Inquire in the Lord’s temple
Ps 27:4 Much better prayer life. He has perfect peace whose mind stayed on thee. It’s easier to discern his answers and his will when you are a residing man.
Are with the Lord where he is
Jn 17:22-24 The way to have undistracted fellowship with Jesus. You get above it all with him. You behold his glory. From up there you have a better perspective on things down here in the world and in your life.
Are perfect in one with those who dwell with him
Jn 17:22-24 Eph 2:6, in heavenly places we sit together. We are one with him and those who are in him. It’s much easier to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace when we dwell with the Lord.
Conclusion
Dwell with God. From now on be a residing man blessed in the house of the Lord.
