In this lesson we see 12 more ways that Joseph was a type of Jesus Christ. We also see that Joseph was tempted by the advances of his master’s wife and from his response we find out what God says about adultery.

When Joseph was tempted with adultery he rebuked Potiphar’s wife and said, “…how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” Today, adultery has been promoted as an acceptable practice in movies, magazines, the military, on TV, and in many social groups. In spite of what the world says, Joseph said that adultery is a GREAT WICKEDNESS and a SIN AGAINST GOD.
David, the great king of Israel and the man after God’s own heart (Acts 13:22), agreed absolutely with Joseph. When he repented for his sin with Bathsheba, he said, “Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest,” (Ps. 51:4).
Fear the Lord and believe what God said. Don’t commit adultery. It is a great wickedness and a sin against God!!
