The Holy Spirit & the Bible John 14, 16 CLICK TITLE FOR AUDIO
The Holy Spirit does much and yet His work is often overshadowed by our relationship to the Father and to Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit does not draw attention to himself; rather He glorifies Jesus Christ. So, today we are going to look at the Holy Spirit and the Bible. We are going to see what the Holy Spirit does for us through the words of God.
GUIDES US – John 16:13 – Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.
TEACHES US – John 14:26 – But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
REMINDS US – John 14:26 – But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
REVEALS TO US – John 16:14 – He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you. 1 Cor 2:10-14 – But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
