No!

According to Sura 17:111 and Sura 19:88-92 in the Koran, Allah has no son.  Allah is the only God; he shares his deity with no one, and has no god, person or group of people that he calls his son.  He is absolutely contrary to the God of the Bible.

In the Bible, our God has many sons, one of whom was begotten and the rest of whom were either created or adopted.  His only begotten Son is Jesus.  Just look at one of the most well known verses in the Bible.  Jn 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

You might ask how in the world God was able to beget a Son.  He did it supernaturally through a virgin named Mary [Is 7:14].  The exact process was described by the angel Gabriel when he revealed to Mary that she would bear God’s Son.  He said, “The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.”

And lest you are one of those Bible believers who will not believe a thing unless you can find it in the Old Testament, God recorded in Ps 2:7, “Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee,” as a reference to Jesus Christ.

Jesus is not the only Son of God.  He is the only begotten Son of God.  Yet, there are other sons of God.

o       According to Lk 3:38, Adam was the son of God.  The verse says, “…which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.”  He was created by God and God called him his son.

o       According to Job 1:6, 2:1 and 38:7, the angels were called sons of God.  Job 38:7 says, “When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy.”  They were created by God as spirits [Ps 104:4].  Some of them fell [2 Pet 2:4].

o       According to Ex 4:22, Israel, corporately, is the son of God.  God told Moses to say to Pharaoh, “Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn.”

o       According to Jn 1:12 and 1 Jn 3:1-2, Christians, that is those of us who have received the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, are the sons of God.  John 1:12 says, “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”

So you can see beyond the shadow of any doubt that the God of the Bible and the god of the Koran are not, in any way, the same God.  Our God is the creator of the universe and the Father of many sons.  The god of the Koran is an idol of man’s creation who has not one son.
