When you consider the names and titles of the Lord Jesus Christ, there are so many that we must deal with them alphabetically just to do them justice. There are many wonderful things that you will learn about Jesus when you study the names of Jesus.  Today, we’ll study the names of Jesus and his titles that start with the letter “D.”

Disallowed – 1 Pet 2:4, 7

Deceiver – so named by the elders and chief priests – Matt 27:63, “after 3 days I will rise again”

Daysman – Job 9:33 – like the “man” that gives you your “day” in court – as the “day” fixed for trial – the daysman is the arbiter or the mediator

Door – Jn 10:7, 9

Day Star – 2 Pet 1:19 – w/ Rev 22:16 and connected with dayspring below

Dayspring – Lk 1:78 to give light to them that sit in darkness

Deliverer – Rom 11:26 he delivers them from their enemies and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob

Desire of all nations – Hag 2:7 – I shall come and I will fill this house with glory
