Natural Catastrophes Hab. 3:4-11 CLICK TITLE FOR AUDIO

Who would want to be here for the tribulation when you have a chance to get saved now and get out of it!!

At the second coming of Jesus things in the earth are going to be wildly and catastrophically affected.  There will be natural disasters of every magnitude.  Here are the descriptions of just a few of the things that will happen.

Catastrophes of war – Hab 3:4 – By way of introduction, when Jesus shows up he shows up in Brightness Matt 17; 2 Thes 2

Horns out of hands – Dan 7:24-25; Zech 1:21 control of nations he’s using to chasten the Jews and organize the battle of Armageddon

Hiding of his power – it was he that was doing the damage not the kings themselves – like Jer 51:20-25 – Rev 6, 9, 16 greater than half the population of the earth will be destroyed

Pestilence – Hab 3:5 – plague – like an infectious epidemic disease like 2 Sam 24:15 70,000 died in three days – involved the angel of the Lord 24:16 – Ps 78:50-51 can involve very selective killing and very quick killing – happened in one night – in the tribulation it is called an incurable disease

Fire – Hab 3:5– Joel 2; Is 66:15-16 – wildfires

Scattered mountains – Hab 3:6, 10 – from Ps 144:5-6 [earthquakes Rev 11:19 and volcanoes Rev 8:8]

Drought – Hab 3:8 – Jas 5, Rev 11

Floods – Hab 3:9, 10 – Rev 12 – Ps 32:5-7; Is 28:2 – Hab 3:10 deep uttered voice – Lord’s voice as many waters Ps 29:3 – deep water encircling the universe

Sun and moon stand still – Hab 3:11 – Jos 10, Zech 14:3 – black and red and satellite transmission gone – armies easily defeated when starved out and no GPS

Storms – Hab 3:11 – whirlwind Jer 23:19; Ps 77:15-19; Ps 18:13-14 arrows and lightning connected
