Prov 27:20 says, “Hell and destruction are never full; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.”  A man went to a department store and came out saying “I thank God that I didn’t see anything in there that I wanted or needed.”  Another man came out with ten items in his cart and said I felt cheated I should have come out with more [because the sight of those things had caused him to covet].

Eccl 1:8 says, “All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.”  Eccl 4:8 says, “There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he, For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.”

Eccl 5:10 says, “He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.”

What it would have been like for Jews had they followed the Lord’s commands – Ps 81:16, “He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.” And he would have satisfied them with health, protection, offspring, etc.

Instead there will be Tribulation for Israel – Lev 26:26 says, “And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.”  Is 9:20 says, “And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm:”

Amos 4:8-9 says, “So two or three cities wandered unto one city, to drink water; but they were not satisfied: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.  I have smitten you with blasting and mildew: when your gardens and your vineyards and your fig trees and your olive trees increased, the palmerworm devoured them: yet have ye not returned unto me, saith the LORD.”

The offspring of a wicked man will not be satisfied – Job 27:14 says, “If his children be multiplied, it is for the sword: and his offspring shall not be satisfied with bread.”

These four are never satisfied – Prov 30:15-16 says, “The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough:  The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.”

Whores are never satisifed – Ezek 16:28-29 says, “Thou hast played the whore also with the Assyrians, because thou wast unsatiable; yea, thou hast played the harlot with them, and yet couldest not be satisfiedThou hast moreover multiplied thy fornication in the land of Canaan unto Chaldea; and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.”

The Antichrist and other world rulers are never satisfied – Hab 2:5 says, “Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire as hell, and is as death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people:”

But for us it’s different; we are satisfied – Prov 19:23, “The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with evil.”  Ps 17:15, “As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.”
