1 Thes 5:3 says, “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them”. The Jews say that they want peace and the Arab nations and Palestinians say that they want peace. But the Lord said that when they can finally say, “Peace and safety”, as if they had accomplished it, then sudden destruction will come. Notice what the Bible tells us to understand about this.
The prophets (media, politicians, world leaders, ecumenical churches) are prophesying peace now.
Jer 23:16-17 Hearken not unto the prophets that prophesy unto you… they say, Ye shall have peace. They speak a vision out of their own heart. They despise the Lord. They steal his words. Jer 23:29-32 I am against the prophets… that steal my words.
They cannot bring about the peace that they say “ye shall have”. Only the Lord can do this. And they won’t turn to the Lord. When they do quote the Bible, they steal his words to state their objectives.
Jer 14:13-14 to prophesy peace without the Prince of Peace is a lie. False vision and divination, and the deceit of their heart. This is why all attempts at peace in the Middle East fail. The are false, and they are deceitful.
God shall send them strong delusion.
2 Thes 2:10-12 with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth… God shall send them strong delusion that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth.
When they refuse to believe the truth, which all unsaved Jews and Gentiles do, God sends them strong delusion. What God said in his Book will come to pass exactly as he said it. If you don’t believe it, he can turn the table on you and give you something that you will believe. This should cause you to greatly fear the Lord.
1 Ki 22:6, 17-23 the Lord hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets. Ezek 14:3-5, 7-11 they set up idols in their heart. “If the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the Lord have deceived that prophet”.
When the antichrist shows up they will believe he is the Messiah.
Dan 8:23-25 a king of fierce countenance… shall destroy the mighty and the holy people… and by peace shall destroy many. He uses “peace” as one of his weapons.
Dan 11:21 he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. The first horse in Rev 6:2-4 conquers and the second horse takes peace from the earth. The implication is the white horse conquers by peace.
Dan 11:23-24 he shall work deceitfully… he shall enter peaceably. Dan 11:27 they speak lies at one table (all summits, accords, and peace processes are liars lying to each other). Dan 11:32 he shall “corrupt by flatteries”.
When he says peace, he means war.
The next two verses describe what’s really intended when men sit down to discuss peace.
Ps 28:3 they “speak peace to their neighbors, but mischief is in their hearts”.
Ps 120:6-7 “My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace. I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war”.
Once the antichrist has convinced the Jews he means peace, he’ll slaughter them.
Dan 11:33 they fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil (exactly as the Nazis did to them). Dan 11:39 he’ll divide the land for gain (all through the 20th century and even now).
There will be never have “peace and safety”.
Is 48:22 There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked.
There will be no peace and safety until Jesus shows up.
Contrast Joel 3:9-17 with Is 2:3-4. Before Jesus is in Jerusalem, they will beat their plowshares into swords. After he is ruling in Jerusalem, they will beat their swords into plowshares. Obviously, the wrong verse is inscribed on the Isaiah Wall at the United Nations. Joel 3:10 should be the verse on that wall. To study the previous lesson, see War With God.
