You must be convinced that you need God’s wisdom from above, Jas 3:13-18.

You must be convinced that God wants to give you wisdom, Jas 1:5.

God is not as impressed with our begging as he is with our believing.

In 1 Ki 3, concerning Solomon’s wisdom, we notice:

Solomon had the right assessment of himself, v.6-7

Solomon had the right assessment of God’s people, v.8

Solomon had the right assessment of God’s wisdom and understanding, v.9

Solomon had the right assessment of the facts, v.16-27

People in the pew are looking for preachers in the pulpit with some sense.
