In this passage, Paul shows the difference between living by faith and living by the law. The big difference is that religion is “DO” and salvation is “DONE.”
WHEN YOU LIVE BY FAITH, YOU:
- Become a child of Abraham (v. 7 )

- Are justified with Abraham (v. 8 )

- Not by laws
- Are blessed with Abraham (v. 9)

WHEN YOU LIVE BY THE LAW, YOU:
- Put yourself under a curse (v. 10)
- Rom 4:15, worketh wrath
- Rom 3:19
- Cannot be justified (v. 11)
- Rom 3:20
- Gal 2:16
- Football: keep all the rules, but step out of bounds on a pass, and it is “no good”
- Cannot live by faith (v. 12)
- Rom 4:14
- Rom 10:3-10
- Faith: believe something is so
- Law: you don’t believe
- Why is that so? (v. 13)
