Wall of Partition Eph. 2:11-22

Ephesians 2:11-22 Wall of Partition CLICK TITLE FOR AUDIO

Gentiles and Jews come together “in” Christ with no distinction.  They are the church of God:

  1. Rom 1:16
  2. I Cor 12:13
  3. I Cor 10:32
  4. Gal 3:27-28
  5. Acts 15:11

As Paul said in Rom 2:27-29, it does a Jew no good to “practice” and “circumcise” if he is not saved (inwardly). Col 2:11: shows you that salvation requires Spiritual circumcision.  The “wall of partition” is what separated the Gentiles from the Jews and the covenants that God promised them.

Gentiles were:

  1. Uncircumcised
  1. Rom 2:14-15
  2. Had conscience
  3. Without Christ
  1. Because Christ promised the seed to Abraham, Gal 3:16
  2. Christ is a Jew, Jn 4
  3. Salvation is of the Jews
  4. Aliens
  5. Deut 14:21
  6. Strangers from the covenants
  7. Abraham, Moses, David
  8. Having No hope
  1. Now hope in Christ, Tit 2:13
  2. Blessed hope
  3. Without God in the world
  4. Had false gods

But now in Christ Jesus the Gentiles are (v. 13):

  1. Made nigh (v. 13)
  2. were far off
  3. At Peace (v. 14)
  4. Rom 5:1
  5. One (v. 14)
  6. Eph 4 – one body
  7. No longer at enmity (v. 15)
  8. Col 2:13-14
  9. Reunited (v. 16)
  10. II Cor 5
  11. Granted Access by the Spirit (v. 18)
