This sermon was preached by Dr. Wayne Sehmish.  The text is Gen 50:19-20.

The summary of this message is that God will often use the bad things in your life to get you to the place where he wants you to be.  These things are like the unclean ravens that God used to feed Elijah at the brook Cherith [1 Ki 17:1-6].  The fact that God used unclean ravens to feed Elijah doesn’t now make ravens clean.  Nor does the fact that God used the bad things in your life to bring you to the place where he wanted you to be now make those bad things good.  The bad things that happened to Joseph were bad things, indeed.  But God used them to bring him to the place where he could save much people alive.  And he can do the same for you, as well.
