There is an “apparent” contradiction between 2 Ki 25:8 and Jer 52:12.  2 Ki 25:8 says that Nebuzaradan came into Jerusalem “in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month.”  Jer 52:12 says that Nebuzaradan came into Jerusalem “in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month.” 

This presumed “error” is not hard to reconcile.  The answer is found in 2 Chr 36:17-19.  

On the seventh day of the fifth month, Nebuzaradan and his army came into Jerusalem and “slew the young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary…,” [2 Chr 36:17].  They also took “all the vessels of the house of God… and the treasures of the king, and of his princes,” [2 Chr 36:18].  

Then on the tenth day of fifth month, after they had completed the slaughter of the people and the spoiling of the houses, they “burned the house of the Lord, and the king’s house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men,” [Jer 52:13].  See also 2 Ki 25:9 and 2 Chr 36:19.  

The reconciliation is, therefore, this.  From the time Nebuzaradan and his army first entered Jerusalem, on the seventh day of the fifth month, they needed three days to kill the princes and the others and to gather the spoil.  After that, on the tenth day of the fifth month, they burned the houses.  This is not a contradiction.  All three accounts are supplemental.
