When God Puts His Name on Something
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
One of the first things that people do sometimes when they get something new is put their name on it. In this sermon we are going to look at some things God has put his name on and why that should be of interest to us.
The Temple of the Holy Ghost: (1 Corinthains 6:19-20)
From this passage we see that we are the temple of God. As a result of salvation in the Church Age we are baptizied into the Body of Christ by the Holy Ghost (1 Corinthians 12:12-13 ; Galatians 3:26-29). This places us into the family of God and there for we bear the name sons of God (John 1:11-12 ; 1 John 3:1).
New Jerusalem and Our Connection:
There is also an interesting connection between the saved person from the Church Age and New Jerusalem (Galatians 4:19-31). Here it is said to be the mother of us all. The Church (saved people from the Church Age) is also called the bride of Christ and the bride of Christ is said to be New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:9-22). Therefore, God has placed his name on us just as he did the Temple and Jerusalem in the Old Testament. Let us look at some things regarding Jerusalem, the Temple, and saved people from the Church Age.
Similarities between Jerusalem, The Temple, Saved People from Church Age:
1) Chosen of God
